Where to Donate for Each National Park (or Volunteer!)
In 2025, the current US administration cut 1000 National Park Service jobs for employees in a probationary period, which could have been newer employees or those who recently accepted a promotion. As an avid National Park supporter and lover, I was devastated to hear this news. If you’re looking for one way to support our National Parks – check out this list of where to donate for each National Park!

If you have a favorite National Park, I’ve listed them from A to Z below with a National Park foundation for every park! I’ll continue to add more details on these organizations as I learn more. And if you know of an organization not listed here, let me know in the comments and I can get it added.
Because I don’t have personal experience with all of these organizations, I highly encourage you to explore their websites and look at the projects they are doing before donating! Then you’ll be able to decide if that is the organization you want to support.

Acadia National Park
Friends of Acadia
Friends of Acadia or FOA, is a wonderful organization with almost 5000 members. Their mission is to “preserve, protect, and promote stewardship of the outstanding natural beauty, ecological vitality, and distinctive cultural resources of Acadia National Park and surrounding communities for the inspiration and enjoyment of current and future generations.”
They work directly with Acadia National Park to determine which projects are most critical for the park. Current projects include protecting the park from invasive species, sponsor programs and events to engage kids and their families in the outdoors, helping the park manage increased visitation by helping to implement the Cadillac Mountain reservation system, and more.
The Glacier National Park Conservancy is the official non-profit fundraising partner of Glacier National Park, a park near and dear to my heart. This incredible organization is working on projects like preserving native plant ecosystems, saving the Whitebark Pine, improving recycling and sustainability, summer youth engagement, ranger led programming, and more!
Mission: The Glacier National Park Conservancy works to preserve and protect Glacier National Park for future generations.

Buy a “Tree of Remembrance”
Purchase the Glacier National Park license plate if you are a Montana resident
Join the Glacier Book Club for free, learning about these places and their history makes everyone care a little more!
